Bloom by Day (the "Service") is a free beta tool operated by an independent developer based in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). We've built it to be privacy-respecting: it needs no account, and we don't ask you for personal details to use it. This page explains, in plain terms, the limited information that is collected when you use the Service.
No sign-up. No profiles. We don't sell your data. We use Google Analytics to see how the Service is used in aggregate, which sets cookies and collects standard, mostly anonymous usage data. That's the main thing to know.

We do not knowingly collect your name, email (unless you choose to email us), precise GPS location, payment details, or any sensitive personal information.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to measure usage. These help us see overall trends and improve the Service; they are not used to serve advertising. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.
The limited information collected is used only to operate, maintain, understand and improve the Service, to monitor performance and reliability, and to keep it secure. We do not use it to build marketing profiles.
We do not sell or rent your data. Information is processed by the third-party providers that make the Service work — primarily Google (Analytics), our website host, and the data and map providers (such as the Copernicus Marine Service, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap and CARTO). Each handles data under its own privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention settings configured for our property and Google's policies. We keep any email correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to you.
You can use the Service without providing personal information, block or clear cookies in your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics as described above. If you are in a region with specific data rights (such as under the Australian Privacy Act, the GDPR or similar laws), you may contact us to ask what information relates to you and to request access or deletion, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The Service is operated from Australia and uses providers (such as Google) that may process data on servers in other countries. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "effective" date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
